If you have any love for character-driven fiction, and an ability to at least tolerate a sci-fi-ish world, you won’t be able to put it down.
There are very few books I can’t put down, but almost all that I’ve read of this series is in that category. Literally. I love Bujold, I love Miles and Ekaterin and even Ivan. But I can put them down. I don’t like to, but I can.
With these, it’s doubtful.
There are very few books where I get so ensconced in the story that I lose track of time, but I’ve done that with almost all of these. Their world entices, lures, until I forget about my own.
And then…THEN…then there are the turtles.
